Privacy, in plain words
Last updated 11 July 2026. This page describes the whole of what papertill.com collects, because that is short enough to say honestly. See also the Terms.
What we collect
Your email address, passed to us by Stripe when you check out, so your receipt page and license key can be tied to your purchase. And a record of the sale itself — amount, currency, timestamp and the Stripe session reference — kept so we can answer "did I buy this" and process refunds. That is the entire list.
What we don't collect
No accounts, no passwords, no profiles. No tracking cookies and no analytics scripts that follow you around. The only thing close to analytics is an anonymous counter of "buy" button clicks, with no identifying data attached, used solely to see whether the button is being seen and pressed.
Your card details
We never see them. Checkout, card entry and payment happen entirely on Stripe's infrastructure, which is PCI-compliant. Nothing about your card touches this site or its storage at any point.
Your download link
It isn't stored anywhere. It's a cryptographic signature computed from your Stripe payment session and an expiry time, verified on each request. Nothing sits in a database waiting to be found or leaked; revisiting your receipt page (linked from your Stripe email) simply computes a fresh one.
Who else sees your data
Stripe, as the payment processor — see stripe.com/privacy. Cloudflare, as the host — the sale record above lives in their KV storage, alongside the product file itself. Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use your email for marketing unless you email us first and ask us to.
How long we keep it
The sale record is kept as our own order history — mainly so a refund or "where's my download" reply can be handled without asking you to dig up proof. If you would like your sale record deleted once it's no longer needed for that, ask (see below) and it will be.
Your rights
If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR/UK GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete what we hold about you, and to complain to your local data protection authority if you think we've got it wrong. To exercise any of this, email hi@papertill.dsl4.com or reply to your Stripe receipt email — both reach a human, not a ticket queue.
